Coo-Coo Cadet, 2021
Programs: Maya 2019, Substance Suite, Nuke, RenderMan, Zbrush, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
I was the co-project manager, along with the rigger for my team and lighting lead. I modeled a vast amount of props used in the short. I also contributed to animation and sound.
Rigging
Here you can see a demonstration of my rig being used in scene. It includes features of the rig such as IK legs with pole vectors, FK wings and tail, multiple eye controls, and other movement features. Overall this rig was designed to be simple and easy to use.
Lighting
I was the sole lighter on this project. I had the opportunity to create dramatic lighting by adjusting the brightness mid-scene. This was done in an attempt to to create a more intense moment and help the viewers to feel what the bird is feeling.
Sound Design
For a variety of sounds, I used the resources available to find audio on websites such as freesound.org and the Visualization Sound Library. I then mixed the sounds and adjusted volumes in Adobe Premiere Pro for the final short. I also worked on editing the final product.
3D Modeling
I modeled items in scene such as an aviator hat and stand, the floor lamp, the chair side table, and a variety of picture frames. I also modeled a plane and some parachute men that were unable to be incorporated into the scene.
Project Management
I kept detailed records of what needed to be done and when, as well as updating them daily. Charts were colorized and included information such as a timeline, asset list, and shot list.
